FIX: The Concurrent Connections property does not manage connections to an SAP system as expected in the BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite (912015)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite, the Concurrent Connections property does not manage connections to an SAP system as expected.

When you configure the Concurrent Connections property for a send port that has a value of 0, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
  • The BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite tries to open multiple connections to the SAP system.
  • When the number of connections exceeds the maximum number of connections that the SAP system allows, the BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite logs an error message.
  • The BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite continues to try to open multiple connections with the SAP system after the error message is logged.
When you configure the Concurrent Connections property for a send port that has a value larger than 0, the BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite successfully sends a limited number of IDOCs to the SAP system before the BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite stops responding. The number of IDOCs that the BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite sends to the SAP system is approximately the same as the value of the Concurrent Connections property.

When the BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite stops responding, all unsent messages are suspended. You must restart the server that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 to continue to process messages.
