Xbox 360: Large playlist from a remote computer or external device may load slowly (911155)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Xbox Video Game System

SYMPTOMS

A playlist may take 30 seconds to load in either of the following scenarios:
  • You try to play a playlist from a remote computer by using Windows Media Center or Windows Media Connect.
  • You try to play a playlist from a device that is connected to your Xbox 360 console.

CAUSE

This issue may occur when the playlist contains many songs. A delay may occur if a large group of songs are loaded and enumerated by the console.

THINGS TO TRY

To work around this issue, use a playlist that contains fewer songs.

MORE INFORMATION

Note that the performance issue only occurs when the playlist is being loaded. This issue does not affect the actual playing of music.
