FIX: The two-tiered message transmission retry feature resends messages too many times in the Connected Services Framework Order Handling Standard Business Event 2.5 (911105)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Connected Services Framework Order Handling Standard Business Event 2.5
SYMPTOMSWhen you send messages to some earlier billing mediation systems, the two-tiered message transmission retry feature in the Microsoft Connected Services Framework Order Handling Standard Business Event 2.5 resends the messages too many times. This problem occurs if the system that receives the message does not respond by returning an HTTP 202.CAUSEThe two-tiered message retry feature counts the messages that it sends against the total number of messages that it should send. However, this count does not include messages that cause exceptions. Therefore, the two-tiered message retry feature resends the messages too many times when you send batched billing events to some earlier billing mediation systems. For example, you experience this problem when you send messages to the XACCT Technologies billing system.RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes.
