The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

SYMPTOMS

When you click the visualization screen while a song and an accompanying visualization are playing in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, a different song unexpectedly starts playing.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the playlist queue is still active behind the visualization. Therefore, when you click the visualization screen, you may unintentionally select another song in the playlist.

MORE INFORMATION

When you use the Visualization feature, the resolution of the display and the position of the playlist behind the visualization are changed. Therefore, when you click the right side of the visualization screen, whichever song is queued in the display position under the mouse pointer will be selected and will start playing.
