Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is Microsoft's next generation data management and
analysis software that will deliver increased scalability, availability, and
security to enterprise data and analytical applications while making them
easier to create, deploy, and manage.
This webcast will focus on an
overview of the new features available in SQL Server 2005, as well as on the
things you need to know to successfully deploy SQL Server 2005 in your
environment. This is a

Anand, Mike RothKugel, Barry Marlow and Ananth Padmanabham. Vishal Anand has been working with
SQL Server for Microsoft since July 2001. He is a technical lead in the
Microsoft SQL Server support team. For the last year, Vishal has been
exclusively involved in supporting SQL Server 2005 customers. Vishal has a B.S.
degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He is also a Microsoft Certified
Systems Engineer (MCSE), a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA),
and a Microsoft certified trainer. Mike RothKugel is the lead program manager for the SQL Server service life cycle platform team. Mike has been with Microsoft for over 5 years. During most of these 5 years, Mike has been the group manager for SQL Server Setup. He has been involved with the design and development of SQL Server 2005 and some previous releases, such as SQL Server 2000 64-bit version. He has also been involved with the sustained engineering of SQL Server 2000, SQL Server Microsoft Data Engine (MSDE), Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC), MSXML, SQLXML, and others. Mike has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. degree. Ananth Padmanabham is a support escalation engineer with Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS). He joined Microsoft as a SQL Server support professional in August 2000. He has worked with a variety of issues on all versions of SQL Server, starting with SQL Server 6.5. Ananth enjoys supporting customers and debugging problems. He has a M.S. degree in Computer Science. He has both the MCSE and the MCDBA certifications.Barry Marlow has been working with Microsoft's Platform Services IT team for six years. He has been a Database Administrator and Associate Technologist during his tenure at Microsoft. This has allowed him to gain a broad understanding of the operations process across the enterprise.
