The "Send to Groove" toolbar is not available in Outlook after you try to synchronize Groove 2.x with Outlook when Outlook is not running (910361)

SYMPTOMS

The Send to Groove toolbar may not be available in Microsoft Outlook after you try to synchronize Groove Workspace 2.x with Outlook when Outlook is not running.

RESOLUTION

This problem was resolved in Groove 2.5c. We recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Groove.

WORKAROUND

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

To work around this problem, modify the registry to restore the Send to Groove toolbar. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following subkey:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Groove.OutlookAddIn

  3. Double-click the LoadBehavior entry.
  4. In the Value data box, delete the current value, type 3, and then click OK.
  5. Quit Registry Editor.
When you restart Outlook, the Send to Groove toolbar will be available.

MORE INFORMATION

In Groove 2.5b and in earlier versions of Groove, Outlook must be running when you first enable the Publish all Events to Outlook option in the Groove Meetings tool or in the Calendar tool. If you try to synchronize Groove with Outlook when Outlook is not running, the Send to Groove toolbar no longer appears in Outlook.
