Xbox 360: You cannot update metadata for your music (910145)


The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When you play or rip (copy) a CD, some music metadata may not automatically appear.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if at least one profile does not have a Silver Xbox Live profile. A Silver Xbox Live profile is the minimum requirement to access metadata services.

THINGS TO TRY

To resolve this issue, create an Xbox Live profile, and then sign in to Xbox Live.

MORE INFORMATION

When you are offline, some metadata may appear because some metadata is stored on the Xbox 360 hard drive. The advantage of having an Xbox Live profile is that the most up to date metadata is available for you to use.
