You may receive an error message when you try to send an e-mail message in Microsoft CRM 1.2 (910010)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to send an e-mail message in Microsoft CRM 1.2, you may receive one of the following error messages:
  • Error message 1
    Divided By Zero.
    This problem occurs when you do either of the following:
    • You send an e-mail message when a new account is created.
    • You select all active accounts and then send a direct e-mail message.
  • Error message 2
    An error has occurred. For more information, contact your system administrator.
    This problem occurs when you do either of the following:
    • You send a new e-mail message in the Web browser.
    • You send a new e-mail message in the Microsoft Outlook client.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft CRM 1.2 service pack that contains this hotfix.
