Operator Missing or Not Valid

In Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a for Windows 95

The formula contains an error. Click OK to return to the formula and correct it.

MORE INFORMATION

This error message occurs even if the function is entered correctly. To change the list separator in Windows 3.1, do the following:

  1. From the Main group in Program Manager, click Control Panel.
  2. Choose the International icon.
  3. Select the List Separator field and enter a comma.
  4. Choose OK.
In Windows 3.0, changing the list separator from the Windows Control Panel does not change it permanently. To change the list separator in Windows 3.0, do the following:

  1. Open Win.ini in Notepad or another text editor.
  2. In the [intl] section, locate sList=
  3. Change the sList= entry to a comma (,). For example:

    sList=,

  4. Save the changes to Win.ini.
You can also use this method in Windows 3.1.
