Windows SharePoint Services components may be deleted after you reinstall the Intranet component of Windows Small Business Server 2003 SP1 (909988)

SYMPTOMS
After you use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel to reinstall the Intranet component of Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1), one or more of the following Windows SharePoint Services components may be permanently deleted: - A document library.
- A customer-created document library.
- A customer-created contact.
- A vacation calendar item.
- A help desk task.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install critical update 909988 from Microsoft Update. To do this, follow these steps: - Visit the following Microsoft Update Web site:
- Install the Microsoft Update client software.
- Let Microsoft Update scan the server. Then, install all updates.
After this update is installed, an administrator can use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel to reinstall the Intranet component of Windows Small Business Server. Data that is stored in Windows SharePoint Services document libraries will not be deleted. Note This update is only offered for full versions of Windows Small Business Server 2003 with SP1. If the installation was upgraded to Windows Small Business Server 2003 with SP1, you do not need this update.
