Error message when you switch FAT file system-based removable media after you install Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4: "STOP 0x00000050" (909916)

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You install Microsoft Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4). Then, you switch the FAT file system-based removable media that is currently in the computer. In this scenario, you receive a Stop error message that is similar to the following:

STOP 0x00000050 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
Page Fault in Non-Paged Area

Note The parameter values may vary.

For example, this problem may occur when you remove a floppy disk, insert a new floppy disk, and then try to read the new floppy disk. This problem may occur with any removable media that has a FAT file system format.
