Error message when you start a Terminal Services session on a Windows Server 2003-based computer: "STOP: 0x00000050 (0xffffffe8, 0x00000001, 0x8083fb88, 0x00000000)" (909445)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start a Terminal Services session on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

STOP: 0x00000050 (0xffffffe8, 0x00000001, 0x8083fb88, 0x00000000)

CAUSE

This issue occurs because of a race condition that occurs in the Win32k.sys program. The race condition occurs when you use Cisco Security Agent (Csauser.dll) and try to start a Terminal Services session.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Cisco to obtain a fix for the issue.

To work around this issue, remove Cisco Security Agent from the computer.
