FIX: Video playback may stop working and appear to stop responding if you repeatedly skip backward in a video when the video is playing in Windows CE 5.0 (909368)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE 5.0

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. On a device that is running Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, you play a video in a media player application. You repeatedly skip backward in the video when the video is playing. In this scenario, the video playback may stop working and appear to stop responding (hang) until you restart the playback.

Note The Microsoft Windows Media Player sample application (Ceplayer.exe) that is included with Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Platform Builder does not have a user interface element to skip backward. Therefore, this problem does not affect this player. However, this problem may affect the media player application on Portable Media Center devices.
