MORE INFORMATION

If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) uses PPPoE authentication, you have to enter the settings in the dashboard. If your ISP does not use PPPoE authentication, you have to remove any PPPoE information that you may have tried to add.

To learn if your ISP uses PPPoE authentication and to determine the PPPoE information, contact your ISP.

To configure PPPoE settings on your Xbox 360 console, follow these steps:
  1. Move to the System section of the Xbox Dashboard.
  2. Select Network Settings.
  3. Select Edit Settings.
  4. On the Additional Settings tab, select PPPoE Settings.
  5. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the PPPoE information that was provided to you by your ISP.
  6. Select Done.
  7. Select Apply and Test when you are prompted to do this.
Note If your ISP does not use PPPoE authentication, make sure that these settings are empty.
