SYMPTOMSMicrosoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 900465 describes a software update to resolve a problem where provisioning errors occur on the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server when the Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2-based DHCP client sends duplicate client IDs for DHCP option 61 and for the MAC address of the network adapter.
