Xbox 360: "This game does not support your current display settings" error message (908222)

When you try to play an original Xbox game on an Xbox 360 console, you may receive the following error message:

This game does not support your current display settings

This issue may occur when the Xbox 360 console display settings are configured to use a resolution that the original Xbox game does not support.

To reduce the resolution setting of the console to a setting that is compatible with the game, follow these steps:

In the System section of the Xbox Dashboard, select Console Setting, and then press the A button.
Select Display, and then press the A button.
Select HDTV Settings, and then press the A button.
Select 480p, and then press the A button.

This resolution should be compatible with the original Xbox game.
