World War II Combat: Road to Berlin is an Xbox Live Aware title. Live Aware means that the game automatically signs you in to Xbox Live when the game starts.

Host a game

1. On the Main screen, press the directional pad (D-pad) up or down to select Multiplayer, and then press the A button.
2. On the Multiplayer screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Xbox Live, and then press the A button.
3. On the Xbox Live screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Create Match, and then press the A button to view the Map Rotation screen.

Create a game session

When you create a game session, you become the host player. Then, you can configure the properties for the match.

1. On the Map Rotation screen, you can select from the following options:
   • <Add Map>
   • <Done>
2. By default, <Add Map> is selected. Press the A button to view the Game Type screen.
3. On the Game Type screen, press the D-pad left or right to select from the following game types, and then press the A button to view the Select Map screen:
   • Deathmatch
   • Team Deathmatch
   • Last Man Standing
   • Team Last Man Standing
   • Capture The Flag
   • King Of The Hill
   • Team King Of The Hill
   • VIP Escort
4. On the Select Map screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following maps, and then press the A button to view the Select Options screen:
   • Luftwaffe
   • Junction
   • Stockpile
   • Submarine Pen
   • Storage Facility
   • Trench Warfare
   • Bunker 7
   • Hill to Berlin
   • Streets of Berlin
   • Station
5. On the Select Options screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for that option:
   • Kills: 5 - 100 (by 5's), Infinite
   • Game Length: 5 - 60 (by 5's)
   • Enemies on Radar: Off, On
   • Class Limit
     • Rifleman: 0 - 15, No Limit
     • Sniper: 0 - 15, No Limit
     • Machine Gunner: 0 - 15, No Limit
     • StormTrooper 0 - 15, No Limit
     • Combat Engineer: 0 - 15, No Limit
   • Bots: 0 - 7
   • Bot Skill: Easy, Normal, Hard
6. After you configure your options, press the D-pad down to select Done, and then press the A button to return to the Map Rotation screen.
7. On the Map Rotation screen, press the Y button to view the Settings screen.
8. On the Settings screen, press the D-pad up or down to select from the following options, and then press the D-pad left or right to select the setting that you want for that option:
   • Dedicated Server: Off, On
   • Private Game: Off, On
   • Max Players: 2 - 8
     
     Note Dedicated servers can support up to 16 players.
9. After you configure your options, press the B button to return to the Map Rotation screen.
10. On the Map Rotation screen, press the D-pad down to select <Done>, and then press the A button to view the Lobby screen.
11. On the Lobby screen, press the D-pad down to select Ready, and then press the A button to start the game.

Invite a Friend

1. On the Game screen, press the START button to view the Pause screen.
2. On the Pause screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Friends List, and then press the A button.
3. On the Friends screen, press the D-pad up or down to select a Friend, and then press the A button to view the Individual Friend screen.
4. On the Individual Friend screen, press the D-pad up or down to select Send Invite, and then press the A button to send a game invitation to your Friend.
