The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite to receive an Intermediate Document (IDOC) from a SAP system, you may experience the following problems:
  • When you use the default PassThrough pipeline to convert the IDOC document to a file, the 0x0d delimiter and the 0x0a delimiter may be missing from the converted file.
  • When you use the flat file pipeline with the IDOC schema, the XML document that is generated is not correctly formatted. The data is misaligned in the XML document.
This problem occurs when the IDOC document contains multiple-byte characters.

MORE INFORMATION

BizTalk Adapter 2.0 for mySAP Business Suite converts the received IDOCs into the BizTalk Code Page encoding that you specify on the receive location. If you do not specify a BizTalk Code Page, the adapter uses a default encoding. Before you apply this hotfix, the default encoding is UTF-8. After you apply this hotfix, the default encoding is ANSI.

Because of this change in the default encoding, after you apply this hotfix, you may have to change the BizTalk Code Page of these existing receive functions to 65001. This makes sure that the existing receive locations keep working after you apply this hotfix.
