INTRODUCTION

This article describes event ID 9685. Event ID 9685 is logged when the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service does not successfully register a remote procedure call (RPC) endpoint in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2). When event ID 9685 is logged, Microsoft Outlook clients may lose connectivity to the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service.
