Xbox 360: How to change a gamer profile (907705)

Select Edit Profile after you sign in to a profile to access any one of the following areas to make changes:

• Gamer picture
  1. Select Gamer Picture on the Edit Gamer Profile menu.
  2. Select one of the following options:
     • Change Gamer Picture: This option displays preset gamer pictures that are stored on the console.
     • Change Personal Picture: This option lets you set a personal picture that is available only to people on your Friends List
     • Download Gamer Pictures: This option opens the Xbox Live Marketplace. You can download additional pictures from the marketplace.
     • Take Personal Picture: This option is available only when the Xbox Live Vision camera is connected to the Xbox 360 Console. It lets you take a personal picture and apply it to your gamer card.
       
       Note Personal Pictures are only available to people on your Friends List
  3. Select the gamer picture that you want, and then press the A button.
• Gamer motto

  Note This choice only applies to Xbox Live-enabled profiles.

  1. Select Gamer Motto on the Edit Profile menu to display the current gamer motto.
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard or the optional USB keyboard to change the motto.
  3. Press the A button.
• Gamer zone

  Note This choice only applies to Xbox Live-enabled profiles.

  1. Select Gamer Zone on the Edit Profile menu.
  2. Select the Xbox Live gamer zone that you want from the following zones:
     • Pro
     • R & R
     • Underground
     • Family
  3. Press the A button.
• Profile name, for non-Xbox Live-enabled profiles only
  1. Select Profile Name on the Edit Profile menu to display the current profile name.
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard or the optional USB keyboard to change the profile name.
  3. Press the A button on your controller.
• Gamertag, for Xbox Live-enabled profiles only
  1. Select Gamertag on the Edit Profile menu to access the Xbox Live Marketplace. The Xbox Live Marketplace provides an option to purchase a gamertag change.
  2. Use the on-screen keyboard or the optional USB keyboard to change the gamertag.
  3. Press the A button.
• Privacy settings, for Xbox Live-enabled profiles only
  1. Select Privacy Settings on the Edit Profile menu.
  2. On the Privacy Settings menu, select Everyone, Friends only, or Blocked access for the following categories:
     • Communications
     • Online status
     • Gamer profile info
     • Gamer profile customization
     • Member content
     • Xbox marketing
     • Partner marketing
