SUMMARY

This article describes how to set the privacy settings for gamer profiles.

MORE INFORMATION

You can restrict access to your gamer profile information by using the Privacy Settings option on the Edit Profile screen. The following fields let you set the parts of your profiles that are public facing:
  • Gamer Profile Info
You can decide who can see your gamer profile information, such as online achievements and game history. You can select Everyone, Friends Only, or Blocked.

Note This field only restricts achievements and game history. The ability to compare games is not affected by this field.

  • Gamer Profile Customization
You can decide who can see customizations such as the motto on your gamer card. You can select Everyone, Friends Only, or Blocked.
  • Presence
You can set online presence to be offline for everyone but your friends.
  • Custom Gamer Card
You can select Me, Friends, Recent Players, or Everyone.
  • Games Played
You can select Me, Friends, Recent Players, or Everyone.
  • Profile Activity Showcase (Presence)
You can select Me, Friends, Recent Players, or Everyone.

Notes

  • By default, each of these fields is set to Everyone.
  • A gamer card becomes a "custom" game card when the motto is changed.
  • Friends include any players who have an outstanding friend request from the profile owner.
A standard gamer card and player review details are always public and cannot be hidden by using privacy settings or by using parental controls. A standard gamer card shows the gamertag, gamer picture, gamer zone, gamerscore, and reputation.
