Clean the Xbox 360 console

  • To reduce the risk of the Xbox 360 console falling over, clean the rubber feet on the bottom and on the end of the console.
    • If the rubber feet are dirty or dusty, wipe them off with a dry cloth.
  • Keep the surface under the Xbox 360 console clean by occasionally wiping with a dry cloth.
  • If you clean the Xbox 360 console, follow these guidelines:
    • Unplug the Xbox 360 console from the power outlet.
    • Clean the surface of the Xbox 360 console only. Make sure that no objects get inserted into the ventilation openings.
    • Only use a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive pads, detergents, scouring powders, solvents, or other liquid or aerosol cleaners. Solvents can include alcohol, gasoline, paint thinner, or benzene.
    Note Do not use laser lens cleaners or similar products. We have not determined the effectiveness or the effect of these products on the Xbox 360 console. We recommend that you do not use any kind of cleaner when you clean the Xbox 360 console.
