Xbox 360: You receive an error message when you try to view a DVD movie by using the Xbox 360 console (907620)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to view a DVD movie by using an Xbox 360 console, you receive the following error message:
Can't play DVD. Wrong region code.
CAUSEThis error occurs when you try to view a DVD from a region that is incompatible with the Xbox 360 console. THINGS TO TRYImportant Xbox 360 consoles are coded to play DVDs that are coded for the region for which the console was originally manufactured. You can only play DVDs from this region or DVDs that do not have any regional coding. You cannot play DVDs from other regions on your Xbox 360. - Determine the DVD region for your Xbox 360 console. This information is on the Xbox 360 console packaging.
- Find the DVD region information on the DVD package.
- If the two regions do not match, the DVD will not play on the console.
- If the two regions match and you receive the error message, the console may need to be serviced.
