Xbox 360: You cannot play a video that you downloaded from the Xbox Live Marketplace (907618)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to play a video that you downloaded from the Xbox Live Marketplace, the video does not play.

CAUSE

This problem typically occurs because the video file is corrupted.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. Turn the console off, and then restart the console. Again try to play the video.
  2. Turn the console off, remove the storage device, reattach the storage device, and then restart the console. Again try to play the video.
  3. Try to play a different video.

    Note To download more videos, visit the Xbox Live Marketplace.

    • If only one specific video does not play, follow these steps:
      1. Determine whether you can again download the video from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

      3. Again try to play the video.

    • If more than one video will not play, follow these steps.

      Important If you perform step a, you will lose all files from the hard drive.

      2. Download some videos from Xbox theLive Marketplace, and then try to play the videos from the hard drive.
  4. If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may have to replace the hard drive. Contact Xbox Customer Support.
