Xbox 360: "There is not enough space on this device to add this background" error message (907613)

SYMPTOMS
When you try to add an image as a background on your Xbox 360 console, you receive the following error message: There is not enough space on this device to add this background. Clear space on the device and try again. CAUSEThe memory device has insufficient available memory to save the item or items that you want to save.
THINGS TO TRY- Create some available space on the storage device.
- Free disk space. To do this, remove items from the hard drive that you do not need.
