The value of the PlaylistBurnTrackCount property may be exceeded if you burn a track two or more times to the same media in Windows Media Player 10 (907481)

SYMPTOMS

When you burn a track two or more times to the same piece of media in Microsoft Windows Media Player 10, the value of the MaxPlaylistBurnCount property is unchanged. However, the value of the PlaylistBurnTrackCount property may be exceeded. The PlaylistBurnTrackCount property specifies the total number of times that content may be copied to a CD as part of any playlist.

CAUSE

When you try to burn an audio CD from protected contents, Windows Media Player only checks to see whether the value of the PlaylistBurnTrackCount property is more than or equal to 1 for each piece of content to be burned. If the value of the property is less than 1, Windows Media Player does not let you burn the content. Windows Media Player does not examine the number of times that the piece of content is in the burn list.
