Xbox 360: Your migrated Xbox Live account does not work on the original Xbox console: The account is parentally controlled (906924)

SYMPTOMS

You migrated your Xbox Live account from your original Xbox console to an Xbox 360 console. When you try to use your Xbox Live account on your original Xbox console, you receive the following error message:
Your account requires maintenance.
The message may also state that the account is banned until 12-31-9999.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • You have a parentally controlled account.
  • The Parental Control options are set to prevent a user from using the Xbox Live account on the original Xbox console.

THINGS TO TRY

  1. Re-enable the Xbox Live account for use on the original Xbox console. For more information, see the "More Information" section.

MORE INFORMATION

The parental control levels in the Xbox 360 console do not exist in the original Xbox console. By default, the Xbox Live account is disabled for use on the original Xbox console.
