You may receive a "General OFX Error" message when you use the online banking feature in Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 (906869)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the online banking feature in Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 version 1.0.2912.1, you may experience connection problems. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
General OFX Error

CAUSE

This problem may be caused by the unique application ID that is stored in the Small Business Accounting database. This application ID is used to identify the application to banks when you use online banking. This application ID was not updated in Small Business Accounting version 1.0.2912.1 to correspond to the application ID of other Microsoft applications that are used to download bank transactions.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download Service Pack 1 for Business Contact Manager Update and Small Business Accounting. This service pack updates Small Business Accounting to version 1.0.3223.1. This version contains the correct application ID.
