This article describes the Outlook 2002 issue that is fixed in the Outlook 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated August 31, 2005.

Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • Consider the following scenario. You open the Telephone tab for a user in the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in. You click Other next to the Home field, and then you type a telephone number. Then, you click Add to Contacts.

    In this scenario, the telephone number that you typed is not saved to the Home2 field in the global address book in Outlook 2002.
