To rename the Xbox 360 Hard Drive or other storage device, follow these steps:
  1. Start the Xbox 360 console without a disc in the disc tray.
  2. In the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select Memory to view the Storage Devices area.
  3. In the Storage Devices area, select Hard Drive if you want to rename the hard drive or other storage device. Press the Y button on the Xbox 360 Controller or the remote control to view the Device Options area.
  4. In the Device Options area, select Rename.
  5. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a new name for the hard drive or storage device.
Note The name for a storage device cannot exceed 26 characters.
