Content Maintenance:43576 SYMPTOMSWhen you run Sybari Antigen for Microsoft Exchange on a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, you do not receive any notifications from Antigen. Additionally, the following error is logged in the ProgramLog.txt file: Error: Unable to log into MAPI Profile. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, follow these steps: - Verify that a mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Windows Messaging, or Microsoft Exchange Event Service, is installed on the Exchange Server 5.5 server.
If a mail client is not installed, follow these steps:- Remove Antigen.
- Install the mail client.
- Reinstall Antigen.
- Test to see whether you are receiving notifications. If you still do not receive notifications even though a mail client is installed on the server, create a new MAPI profile:
- Log on to the Exchange Server 5.5 server by using the service account that runs Exchange Server 5.5.
- Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Mail, and then click Show Profiles.
- Click the Antigen profile, click Remove, and then click OK.
Repeat this step for each Antigen profile that appears. - Double-click Mail, click Show Profiles, and then click Add.
- Add a new profile. Name the new profile "Antigen_servername", and then point this profile to the Antigen server mailbox.
- Log on to the profile that you created in step 2e by using a MAPI client, such as Microsoft Outlook.
- Verify that the profile works by sending an e-mail message to the Antigen_servername mailbox.
- Start the Sybari Client (SybariClient.exe).
- In Shuttle Navigator, click Reports, and then click Notification.
- Click Profile.
- Make sure that the profile that is listed matches the profile that you created in step 2e.
- Send an Eicar test virus to test whether you receive a notification. Alternatively, restart the Exchange services.
- Examine the ProgramLog.txt file to make sure that the "Error: Unable to log into MAPI Profile" error is not logged.
