SYMPTOMS
When you back up or copy files from a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) to a network drive, you may receive the following error message:
Stop: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xf734eab5, 0xf5f69a2c, 0x00000000)
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
- The network drive is located on a computer that is running UNIX.
- You have installed Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 on the computer that is running Windows Server 2003 SP1.
- You use the Client for NFS command-line tool in Windows Services for UNIX to mount the network drive.
- One or more of the files that you back up or copy is larger than 4 gigabytes (GB).

Prerequisites
You must have Windows Services for UNIX
3.5 installed on the computer to apply this hotfix. You must only apply this hotfix to a computer that is running the Client
for NFS service.
Restart requirement
You must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
