Some domain controllers do not appear in the "Microsoft Windows 2000 Servers with Distributed File System Service" computer group in MOM 2005 (904749)

SYMPTOMSSome domain controllers do not appear in the Microsoft Windows 2000 Servers with Distributed File System Service computer group in Microsoft Operations Manager 2005.CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Domain Controllers check box is not selected on the Search for Computers tab in the Microsoft Windows 2000 Servers with Distributed File System Service Properties dialog box.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, select the Domain Controllers check box. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the MOM 2005 Administrator console.
- Expand Microsoft Operations Manager
(ServerName), expand Management
Packs, and then expand Computer Groups.
- Right-click the Microsoft Windows 2000 Servers with
Distributed File System Service computer group, and then click
Properties.
- Click the Search for Computers tab in the
Microsoft Windows 2000 Servers with Distributed File System Service
Properties dialog box.
- Click to select the Domain Controllers
check box under the Include computers that are
section.
STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
