INTRODUCTION

When you move an installation of Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 from one domain to another domain, you must run the BizTalk Server 2004 Configuration Wizard (Configframework.exe) to reconfigure each server.

MORE INFORMATION

After you move a server to a different domain, you must run the Configuration Wizard again on that server in the new domain. Before you run the Configuration Wizard, back up your existing BizTalk Server databases. After you back up the databases, make sure that you can restore all your BizTalk Server assemblies and bindings.

If you want to use the same BizTalk Server 2004 database names, run the Configuration Wizard by using the /u option. This option removes the current configuration and the existing BizTalk Server databases. To run the Configuration Wizard by using the /u option, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
  2. At the command prompt, type cd path, and then press ENTER. In this command, path is the path of the folder where BizTalk Server 2004 is installed.

Note By default, the Configuration Wizard is located in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004\ if BizTalk Server 2004 folder if BizTalk Server 2004 is installed on drive C.
  3. At the command prompt, type Configframework /u, and then press ENTER.
You can move the servers that are running BizTalk Server to another domain after you have finished the following:
  • Created the backups.
  • Removed the current configuration.
  • Removed the existing databases.
After you move the servers, run the Configuration Wizard on each installation of BizTalk Server.
