Contact information is not correctly synchronized with Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook after you modify the information in Microsoft CRM (903156)

SYMPTOMSAfter you modify contact information by using the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2 Web client, you notice that those modifications do not appear in the Outlook Contacts folder when you take the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Sales for Outlook client offline. Therefore, you experience a data inconsistency between the Microsoft CRM information and the Outlook contact information.CAUSEThis problem occurs if you delete information from one or more of the fields in a contact record by using the Microsoft CRM Web client. You may experience this problem if you take the following actions: - You create a new contact by using the Microsoft CRM Web client when the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client is online.
- You take the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client offline, and then you click to clear the Do not update Outlook check box to synchronize the Microsoft CRM information with the Outlook contacts.
- You bring the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client back online.
- You remove information from one or more of the fields in the particular contact record by using the Microsoft CRM Web client.
- You take the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client offline, and then you click to clear the Do not update Outlook check box to synchronize the Microsoft CRM information with the Outlook contacts.
Note This problem does not occur if you change information in the contact record. This problem occurs only if you delete information from one or more of the fields in the contact record. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, manually delete the Outlook contact information.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
