FIX: The Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) operating system does not support Internet Information Services (IIS) FTP functionality (903089)

SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS) operating system does not support Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) FTP functionality. This problem occurs even though you installed IIS from the list of optional software components during WEPOS Setup.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because IIS FTP functionality was not included in the original WEPOS product.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.

To apply this hotfix, WEPOS must be installed. Additionally, IIS must have been installed from the list of optional software components when WEPOS was installed.

Restart requirement

You must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
