Issue that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- Consider the following scenario. You start the MFCMapi.exe utility on a computer that has Microsoft Outlook 2002 installed. Then, you open a folder and try to create one of the following items from the New menu:
- Appointment
- Contact
- Custom Form
- IPM Note
- IPM Post
- Sticky Note
- Task
- Generic Message
When you try to create one of these items, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Error: Could not find handler for message class
Code: MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND == 0x8004010F
Function lpMAPIFormMgr->ResolveMsgClass( szMessageClass, NULL, IpFolder, &IpMAPIFormInfo)
This issue occurs if the Frmcache.dat file is missing from the computer.
