A Video CD restarts at the beginning of the first segment when you minimize and then maximize the Media Center window while the VCD plays in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (902335)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, when you minimize and then maximize the Media Center window while a multisegment Video CD (VCD) plays, the VCD restarts at the beginning of the first segment on the VCD. For example, if you minimize and then maximize the Media Center window while the third segment on the VCD plays, the VCD restarts at the beginning of the first segment.

Note A VCD can contain a single VCD file or multiple VCD files. These multiple VCD files are referred to as segments. Multiple segments let you skip back and forth through segments as you play a VCD.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
