When you use Optional Setup to configure Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, you cannot use Media Center to reset the font size to its previous setting (902164)

SYMPTOMS

When you use Optional Setup to configure Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, and you select the Yes, turn on Windows Large Fonts option, you cannot use Media Center to reset the font size to its previous setting.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the Display Properties dialog box to select the "Normal" font size. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type desk.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Appearance tab.
  3. In the Font size list, click Normal.
  4. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
