You visit the Microsoft Update Web site instead of the Windows Update Web site (901260)

SYMPTOMSIf you try to visit the Microsoft Windows Update Web site, you do not visit the Windows Update Web site as you expect. Instead, you visit the Microsoft Update Web site. This symptom occurs if you perform either of the following actions: - You click Windows Update on the Start menu.
- You click Windows Update on the Tools menu in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
CAUSEThis issue occurs if the computer is configured to use Microsoft Update instead of Windows Update. After you configure the computer to use Microsoft Update instead of Windows Update, existing Windows Update shortcuts are automatically redirected to the Microsoft Update Web site. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, and to again visit the Windows Update Web site when you click Windows Update, disable Microsoft Update.
