Font formatting is removed from a table that was created by using the "Table AutoFormat" feature in Word after you synchronize an Office Word document from a Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC (901058)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 software for Pocket PCs
SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. You use Microsoft ActiveSync 4.0 to synchronize a Microsoft Office Word document to a Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC. Then you synchronize the Word document back to the desktop. In this scenario, font formatting is removed from a table that was created by using the Table AutoFormat feature in Word.
For example, you may originally format the table header row in italic in Word. After you synchronize the Word document from the Windows Mobile-based device to the desktop, the italic formatting is removed from the table header row.
Note To create a table by using the Table AutoFormat feature in Word, click Table AutoFormat on the Tools menu.CAUSEThis issue occurs because Desktop to Device conversion for Word documents does not support Table AutoFormat font formatting in ActiveSync 4.0. Therefore, when you synchronize a Word document, the font formatting is removed.
