SYMPTOMS
When you try to play a recorded TV program in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, the screen may flicker. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Restricted Content
Restrictions set by the broadcaster and/or originator of the content prohibit playback of the program on this computer.
CAUSE
This issue may occur if the following conditions are true: - The TV program was recorded on a computer that is running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. However, you try to play the program on a different computer that is running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
- The broadcaster or the content originator has enabled copy protection restrictions on the program.
The copy protection restrictions may be designed to prevent the program from being played on a computer other than the computer that was used to record the program. RESOLUTIONTo resolve the screen flickering issue, install the Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
