SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
- Information Management Systems (IMS) host programs are on a mainframe computer that is running IMS Connect.
- You use the Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) Transaction Integrator (COMTI) in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000 to call the IMS host programs.
- The COMTI Remote Environment is configured to pass credentials to the host by using the Host Account Cache (HAC).
- You install Host Integration Server 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
In this scenario, space characters are sent for the user ID and the password. When this behavior occurs, a COMTI event that is similar to the following is written to the application event log:Event Type: Error
Event ID: 102
