SYMPTOMS

You play a recorded video in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. If Closed Captioning is turned on, the Finished page does not appear when the video stops playing. Media Center may appear to have stopped responding.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, press any button on the Media Center remote. The Finished page will appear.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
