Characters Paste Incorrectly from Character Map (90455)

Extended ANSI characters paste incorrectly into version 2.0 of
Microsoft Works for Windows from the Character Map in Windows 3.1.
This problem is corrected in Works for Windows 2.0a.
WORKAROUND
As a temporary workaround to paste extended characters into Works for
Windows 2.0, do the following:
- Select the desired character in Character Map and Copy it to the
Clipboard.
- Open Paintbrush and create a new document.
- Select the Text tool and place the insertion point in the Document
window.
- From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
- Select the Scissor tool and position the Cutout window to surround
the desired character with a minimum of white space.
- From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
- In Works for Windows, place the insertion point at the desired
location.
- From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
The character will be copied into the Works for Windows document as a
bitmap.
