You receive an error message in User32.dll when you try to start Visio 2002 (899582)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to start Microsoft Visio 2002, Visio does not start. Additionally, you receive the following error message: Microsoft Visio has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
To see what data this error report contains, click here. When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that is similar to the following error signature:

user32.dll, version 5.1.2600.1134, fault address 0x0000d0a8. CAUSEThis issue may occur when the following conditions are true: - You try to start Visio 2002 in a maximized window. By default, when you first try to start Visio 2002, Visio starts in a maximized window.
- You have the Matrox PowerDesk-HighFidelity (HF) program installed, and the While using stretched mode, maximize windows option is turned on.
Note The Matrox PowerDesk-HighFidelity (HF) program is installed when you install the Matrox Parhelia video driver. WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, use one of the following methods. Method 1: Start Visio 2002 firstBefore you start the Matrox PowerDesk-HighFidelity (HF) program, start Visio 2002. This issue will not occur if Visio 2002 is started first and if the Visio window is maximized before you start the Matrox PowerDesk-HighFidelity (HF) program. Method 2: Turn off the "While using stretched mode, maximize windows" optionTo turn off the While using stretched mode, maximize windows option, follow these steps: - Double-click the PowerDesk icon in the Windows taskbar.
- Click Desktop Management.
- Click to clear the While using stretched mode, maximize windows check box, and then click OK.
