SYMPTOMS

When an update of the security descriptors occurs, you may experience slow performance in Microsoft CRM 1.2. The update may take many hours to several days to complete on Microsoft CRM 1.2 data sets that contain hundreds of thousands of records or millions of records.

An update to the security descriptors may occur when any one of the following operations is performed in Microsoft CRM 1.2:
  • A new Microsoft CRM security role is created.
  • A Microsoft CRM security role has its privileges changed and is saved.
  • A Microsoft CRM security role is copied.
  • Microsoft CRM records are shared with other users.
  • A Microsoft CRM business unit is re-parented.
  • Microsoft CRM users are moved from one business unit to another business unit.
You may also experience slow performance in Microsoft CRM 1.2 when the Repair Object Security command is run in the Microsoft CRM Administrative Operations Tool.
