SYMPTOMSIf you capture a screenshot while a Microsoft Office Communicator 2005 video conversation is running on your desktop, a static image of the video window may not appear as expected.
For example, assume that you press PRINT SCREEN to capture a screenshot while a Communicator 2005 video conversation is running. The captured screenshot may continue to play the live video from Communicator 2005 when you paste the screenshot into another program. However, when you close the video conversation window in Communicator 2005, the video window in the screenshot is blank.CAUSEThis issue may occur if the video card in the computer supports video overlay mode.WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, disable the graphic hardware acceleration setting on the computer. To turn off graphic hardware acceleration on the computer, follow these steps: - Click Start, click Run, type Desk.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
- On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
- On the Troubleshoot tab, move the Hardware Acceleration slider to the None position, and then click OK.
Note If you disable the graphics hardware acceleration setting, you may reduce the graphics performance level of the computer.
