SYMPTOMS
If you use the Microsoft Storport storage driver (Storport.sys) for your host bus adaptor (HBA) removable storage device in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you receive the following Stop error message:
STOP 0x000000d1 (0x0000002c, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xbfe1a833)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
The bugcheck information for the Stop error message is similar to the following bugcheck information:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If kernel debugger is available get stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000002c, memory referenced
Arg2: 00000002, IRQL
Arg3: 00000001, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
Arg4: bfe1a833, address which referenced memory
This symptom occurs if the following conditions are true:
- The Windows Server 2003-based computer is under high stress.
- The non-paged pool memory in the Windows Server 2003-based computer has been exhausted.
RESOLUTION
Service pack information
