You click the Link to Outlook option in a Calendar or Events list on a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services site. When you click Yes to confirm that you want to add the Windows SharePoint Services folder to Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, you receive the following error message: An error occurred adding the following Windows SharePoint Services
folder to Outlook:

Outlook can't add the folder because creating a new Personal Folders
(.pst) file isn't allowed on this computer. CAUSEThis problem may occur if the network administrator has added the DisablePST registry value to prevent users from creating or accessing Microsoft Outlook personal folder (.pst) files on the computer.RESOLUTIONThis problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you installed the latest Office 2003 service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix. After you install this hotfix, follow the steps that are listed in the "More Information" section of this article to set the AlwaysAllowSharePointPST registry key and to activate the hotfix. Note This hotfix only affects how you can create a new Windows SharePoint Services folder in Outlook 2003. If you already have an existing Windows SharePoint Services folder that has been added in Outlook 2003, this hotfix will not affect the Link to Outlook option.
